It started with a shirt that said "Cat in the Hat"
Mommy couldn't just leave it at that!
We read Dr. Seuss books one after another
And beginner books like "Are You My Mother?"
The rhyme and repetition made Madelyn giggle
We didn't stop until she started to wiggle
And squirm for something else to do
But we had fun and you would have too!
